Who runs this site
MIMN is a not-for-profit community organisation. Métis Nation British Columbia is a separate organisation. We are chartered by MNBC, but MNBC does not run this website and is not responsible for what is on it.
Who owns what is on this site
The words, photographs, designs, and layout on this site belong to Mid Island Métis Nation, unless a page says otherwise. © 2026 Mid Island Métis Nation.

Photographs of people
Photographs on this site were taken at our own events and are published with permission. If you are in a photograph and want it removed, phone or email the office. We will take it down. You do not have to give a reason.
Links to other websites
We link to partners, governments, schools, and other Métis organisations because we think the information is useful. We do not control those sites. A link is not an endorsement, and we are not responsible for what you find there.
Please check with us before you act
We try hard to keep this site correct and current, but dates change, programs change, and rules change. Nothing here is a promise.
- Events — phone the office to confirm a date and time before you travel.
- Membership and citizenship — the pages here explain the steps in plain language. The decision on any application rests with MIMN and with Métis Nation British Columbia, under their own rules. Nothing on this site grants membership or citizenship.
- Programs and funding — amounts and eligibility can change without notice.
Nothing on this site is legal, medical, or financial advice. Please speak to a qualified person for that.
The online forms
The membership application on this site fills in and prints on your own device. It is a convenience, not a submission. Your application only reaches us when you hand it in or email it yourself, with the documents that go with it.
Tell us about a problem
If something on this site is wrong, out of date, broken, or should not be here, please tell us. We would much rather hear from you than leave it standing.
Which law applies
This website is run from British Columbia, Canada. The laws of British Columbia and of Canada apply to it.
